L'Oreal True Match Foundation

I recently talked about my Garnier BB cream, so I thought that I should talk about something similar, but something that I've been really loving. I heard a lot of great things about L'Oreal True Match foundation so I thought I could try it out. I'm happy that I did.

There are only a few things I don't like about it. When I bought it I was in a hurry and I had to pick a shade. I just took the lightest I thought there was, but it turns out that it's a rose toned foundation and the name of the shade is Rose Vanilla (I didn't even look at the name). The foundation is called True Match because you should be able to find your shade so there are yellow toned foundations and rose toned ones. Of course I had to pick the rose toned one. -.- My body is mostly yellow toned, but my face is rose toned, so the face doesn't match if I pick a rose toned foundation. Thanks to the Bourjois foundation (that I will be reviewing when I use it a bit more) I confirmed that theory. Back to the True Match. One of the things I don't like is that it has a transparent lid and it's shaped that every time you open it or close it some of the product just gets on the lid. It's not a huge problem, but it is a bit annoying. That would be it for the things I don't like. One of them is my fault and one of them is not that big of a deal. I just love the consistency of this foundation. It's pretty liquidy and it applies really nicely with a brush. I think it would work for any skin type except for the really oily skin. I have combination skin and it's great. Coverage is definetly a medium, but I guess you could sheer it out for a lighter coverage or build it up for better coverage. It doesn't look cakey and it doesn't look like a mask. :) The scent is fine. If you pick the right shade, I think you'll like it, so I definitely like it. :D

Eyeshadow palettes by Sleek MakeUP

5:00 PM Unknown 0 Comments

I've been dying to try some palettes by Sleek, so I finally ordered three of them. I ordered them from e-bay because I thought it's safer. They arrived pretty fast. I was sooo excited. When I first swatched them I was even more impressed. They are really pigmented with few exceptions, but don't be disappointed, I think there is the reason why. Every palette comes in a cardboard box and every box has some colors of the palette on, so you can immediately tell the difference. Here is a little preview of the boxes, so you can get the theme of each palette:

Then you finally open the box and you get a nice looking black palette. It really does look sleek. :D Palettes are compact and great for traveling, so you can take them anywhere you want. I was surprised with the size a bit because I thought they were bigger, but believe me, they will last you. Colors are so pigmented that you really need only a little bit on the brush.

When you open the palette, you can see that each comes with 12 eyeshadows, a dual ended sponge brush (which doesn't feel cheap), a protective sheet and a mirror. On some palettes there are names of the colors on the protective sheet, but mostly on permanent palettes there are no names. Reviews of each palette individually will come soon. :)

Garnier BB Cream for oily skin

5:30 PM Unknown 0 Comments

I used this product for about a year and a half so I guess I can give a final review on it. I've been trying out some foundations which I love so I almost forgot about this product.

I recently ran out of my foundation that I used for a month or two and I had to put on the BB cream.. I have to say that I don't like it as much any more. I used three botles of it and it's a bit funny how I descovered that it's not that good (at least for me). I am really pail, except on my face. I use the lightest shade of the BB cream and I don't know if I was more tan or what, but it's too dark now.. Not even too dark, it's too orange. Unfortunately it comes in only two or three shades (I don't know anymore). It has a scent which I don't think a lot of people would like, but if scent doesn't bother you it's ok. I have to say that it has a nice coverage for a BB cream (light to medium). It aplies nicely and I like that it's liquidy. Also, a really good thing is that it has 40 mL, while most of foundations have 30 mL. I was really impresed how long it would last me. But, since it is a BB cream it doesn't last so long on the face. It just would fade over the day. I don't use it anymore and I found foundations that I like, but if the BB cream is your shade and if you need only a bit coverage you should try it out. :)

Wet N Wild

9:35 PM Unknown 1 Comments

Finally Wet N Wild came to drugstores in my town, so I've been trying out a few products. I have to say that I'm impressed.

First thing that I bought is an eyeshadow palette in Comfort Zone. It's probably the most reviewed product by Wet N Wild, so I had to find out if the rumours are true. I have to say that I just got blown by the quality of the eyeshadows. :) Texture is just beautiful. I think it's a great palette to start with if you're just getting into makeup. The palette has 8 colors. Two of them are browbone colors, two are eyelid colors, two are crease colors and two are definer colors. I like the concept, but you can work with the left and the right side at the same time. Discover new looks. ;) I love the browbone colors, but I wouldn't use the one on the right side for that purpose. Maybe I would use it as an eyelid color. I am also in love with the definer color on the right side, but I don't use it a lot. I like this palette because I think green works really nice if you want to go for a bit unusual look, but still for a look that doesn't look crazy. It is a great palette for day and night. If you never tried it I recomend it.

Second product I bought is an eyeshadow trio in Knock On Wood. I really started to like rosy colors and don't blame it on the NAKED 3 because that was before it came out. This trio was just calling me in the store, so I had to get it. It has a great matt brown and it just finishes the look. I also recomend this one. :)

The last product is Idol Eyes creme shadow pencil in Pixie. When I swatched it I just fell in love with the color and I thought it would be a great eyelid color. Well, the biggest problem is that it creases so much. I use an eyeshadow primer and I never had a problem with shadow creasing on my eyelids. I love the look of this pencil when you apply it. When I checked my makeup after a few hours I just saw eyeshadow creased all over my eyelids. If you want to get some use out of this I think it's a pretty nice highlighter and it works pretty nice for that purpose.
